Our next destination takes us to the mystical land of Argolis, home to the legendary Golden Mycenae, a UNESCO World Heritage site straight from the pages of Homer’s epic tales. Immerse yourself in the grandeur of this military stronghold that once commanded the realms of southern Greece. Marvel at the Cyclopean Walls, pass through the mighty Lion’s Gate and gaze upon the awe-inspiring Royal Tombs, including those of Agamemnon and Clytemnestra.

As we continue our adventure, we’ll venture into the charming city of Nafplio, capturing the most stunning snapshots from the vantage point of Acronafplia, a Venetian-style castle nestled atop a picturesque hill. Get ready to satisfy your taste buds with a delectable lunch at a local restaurant, just a short drive from Nafplio, where you’ll relish the freshest seafood delicacies while basking in the idyllic coastal views. Our journey then takes us to Epidaurus, a sanctuary steeped in history and revered as the birthplace of Asklepios, the son of Apollo and the god of healing.

Itinerary

Depart from our terminal for one one-day tour via the coastal National highway for the CORINTH CANAL (short stop). The next stop will be the unique archaeological place of ANCIENT CORINTH, where travellers will get in touch the the civilization of ancient Corintheans. After the Ancient Corinth, we will enter the region of Argolis, the land of Homer’s Golden Mycenae, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Dating back to the second century B.C., MYCENAE was one of the major centers of Greek civilization and a military stronghold that dominated much of southern Greece.

Visit the archaeological site, home to the kingdom of mythical Agamemnon. You will see the Cyclopean Walls, the Lion’s Gate, the Royal Tombs, including Agamemnon Clytemnestra’s, and the Treasury of Atreus, a magnificent 14th-century B.C. structure. Furthermore, we will visit NAFPLIO city and take amazing pictures from ACRONAFPLIA(outside stop), a Venecian-style castle located on a hill in Nafplio.

Time for lunch in a local restaurant only 10 minutes driving, from Nafplio to Tolo village, where you can enjoy fresh fish and seafood in connection with a great view exactly close to the sea.

Continue on to EPIDAURUS and visit the ancient theatre. The UNESCO World Heritage-listed monument is reputed to be the birthplace of Apollo’s son Asklepios, the healer, and was the most celebrated healing center of the classical world.
