LYCAVITTUS THEATER
If attending a concert at the highest peak in Athens is on your bucket list, this is the destination for you. Lycabettus Theatre is an open-air venue situated in an area that was once a quarry, on Lycabettus Hill in Athens. Standing 277 meters above sea level, Lycabettus Hill is one of the highest points in Athens, and its iconic amphitheater offers panoramic views of the city. Having hosted over 1,000 Greek and international concerts during its 43 years of operation, this large open-air theater reopened in September 2023 after a 15-year closure for concerts and performances in the summer, as part of the Athens and Epidaurus Festival.
